சபுகஸ்கந்த எண்ணெய் சுத்திகரிப்பு நிலையத்தின் வெளியீட்டினை 50,000 பரல்களில் இருந்து 100,000 பரல்களாக அதிகரிக்கும் ஈரானின் உதவி செயற்திட்டத்தினை இலங்கை அரசாங்கம் மறுத்துள்ளதாக சர்வதேச ஊடகங்களில் செய்தி வெளியாகியுள்ளது.

தற்போது சபுகஸ்கந்தயில் நாளந்தம் 40,000 பரல்கள் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுவதாக தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது.
